User Training

asnet Technologies offers a number of standard training packages. We can also tailor training to suit your requirements.


Installation and Initial Operator Demonstration
On the day of installation, initial operator training will be provided to one of your personnel.

Customers should have at least one person available for 30-45 minutes, to participate in the install and initial operation of the equipment and check it is in going order.

The installer will explain basic dialing, answering, camera presets and tracking, volume control, mute, and address book functions.


Training Workshops
Training sessions are customised to suit your organisation's needs, structure and time availability of key personnel. NB: organisations gain maximum benefit from training when they involve these key users rather than restrict training to support personnel.

Training sessions and workshops may be one hour and very specific, or up to several days, developing a videoconference culture in the workplace, and working with groups of up to 5 at any one time.

Training sessions may be remote, via videoconference, or at your site.


Effective User Training
Recommended as a 'must' for all videoconference purchasers.

This is a hands-on approach to best use of the equipment and preferred peripheral tools such as PC, whiteboard, document camera, vcr, and best practice hints and protocols. Typically a 2 hour session for up to 5 participants, one session costs $500 remotely or $750 on site.

Customers may choose one full day of sessions at their site, at a charge of $1250 plus travel costs. (All costs excl. gst)

Training Modules Specific to the Polycom Systems
Typically 1-2 hours duration and add detail and advanced information to the more general basic user training. These are $500 (remote) or $750 (on site note: may occur additional travel costs) and are available on demand.

They include:
  • Polycom Videoconference setup - understanding the IMUX, dialing features and multipoint functions for current Polycom users upgrading to a new system
  • Polycom Videoconference setup for local area network connection, and for optional peripheral equipment, from PC to VCR, document camera, second monitor, audio source
  • System management including remote management module

Professional Development
Teaching and training workshops in best practice using the Polycom tools. We will work with your teachers and trainers and their materials. Duration and costs are negotiable.
