AV as a Service

Asnet’s innovation was initially delivered as the first provider in New Zealand of Video as a Service, which is now known as Cloud Video. Building on this, Asnet is now the first to offer Audio Visual (AV) as a Service in New Zealand.

This service provides essential benefits to organisations, including low capital costs, plus high availability through proactive management and maintenance of the rooms. It also enables scalability to grow the services as our customers’ needs change, leading to increased sustainability and improved collaboration performance.

Remote Monitoring and Management

With an increase in client demand for services-based commitments (Service Level Agreements), Asnet’s nationwide Service Desk with centralized monitoring, management, room and facility reporting are key to maintaining very high levels of space and technology uptime availability.

AV Over IP

Traditionally AV has been delivered as a customised complex solution in each room with fixed proprietary cabling. Technology has advanced rapidly and now enables the delivery of AV over the standard office LAN, thus providing an ability to send high-quality images, high definition video, audio, control and peripheral signals over a commonly available office Ethernet network. With the IT department being the new customer, this enables a greater focus on standards, manageability and monitoring as well as flexibility in device choice.

Scalability and Flexibility

AV over IP significantly increases the scalability and flexibility of your audiovisual system. From a single output source, it is possible to connect to hundreds of devices, limited only by the number of ports in the customer’s network. Multiple displays can be managed remotely and individually for both content and performance.

Room Utilization Analytics

The advent of customer room usage and device data collection through remote monitoring and reporting produces valuable information for organisations. This data can, for example, be used to analyse the utilisation of equipment, rooms and overall space, ultimately offering the Chief Financial Officer return on investment (ROI) decision capabilities essential in forward planning. This includes making the most of the two most expensive resources (people and space), by allocating suitable meeting space facilities, and reviewing actual technology deployments in the future, based on actual data of real usage in the present.
